"Our world has recently changed, and for our sake I hope that we all our changing for the better. At the end of the day, going forward, a new normal that has evolved from Covid, quarantines, and protests, will be leading conversations on how we run our lives."

I'm thankful for being on this journey of starting Verb for Humanity. Moments like this happen more frequent than we think, and when you ask for a chance to be put to work, life doesn't hold back when presenting space and opportunity. At end of 2019, I was struggling with my internal battles. I felt like everything with work and home was just fine. Simple and easy. But for me, I guess I thrive better when things are more complex. Then the pandemic reared its head, and shortly after, demands across the world for social justice took center stage. I've been taught my whole life how important it is to see and hear people from their history - their roots. When you get down to the origin, it's not too difficult see that we are all in this together. And now I have a platform to thrive in.

Over the past few months, even though tensions have be high, it actually has been inspiring to see just what amount of change can actually happen in our world. We've seen perspectives that vary from broken and disenfranchised, to privileged and optimistic. And although we know plenty of negative mindsets exists, it's comforting to know that in spite of these struggles for justice, people normally don't want to just sit back and do nothing while people suffer. Our world has recently changed, and for our sake I hope that we all our changing for the better. At the end of the day, going forward, a new normal that has evolved from Covid, quarantines, and protests, will be leading conversations on how we run our lives. With Verb for Humanity, I very happy to be apart of these conversations.

Me and my wife, Denise at Verb's Summer Outing, our pre-Covid company picnic, summer 2019.

As our CEO, Rory, said, "Life is a never-ending series of challenges—large and small, physical, intellectual, emotional, and even spiritual. But it is how we respond to those challenges that defines us." And although we have had to find new and innovative ways to stay active, engaged, and consistent, I'm thankful for this outlet. We have a place here where we can discuss and learn from each other. This will be pivotal, as a company, in our human maturation. And it's truly where the real work begins.
